Tabletop RPGs: Team Size
So, for the first time ever, I'm considering writing a tabletop game to be run at a Melbourne con. (I've written team games before, but I've only run them in Brisbane.) The basic plot of the game points towards teams of four players, but I've had it suggested that five players often work better.

I've taken to throwing that number at prospective new freeform writers, as if it were a mantra for the craft. It's the number of opinions of other characters that were written for Catch Me, I'm Falling.

Fezzik of The Princess Bride

Scanner, Free To Good Home
This afternoon, I got a call from a distressed friend, who wanted some technical assistance. Did I have a scanner, and was it portable? Indeed I do have a transportable scanner, and I proceeded to load it into the car and take it around to her place.

So, I ran over a Care Bear
When driving home the other night, I spotted something on the road too late to avoid it, so I just aimed my car to head over it. I could see it was a stuffed toy on the road, and small enough to not do the underside of my car any harm.
