Awesome Thanksgiving dinner that couldn't be beat at Jacob and Heather's. Now doing some Net shopping for a food processor, other stuff, rather than brave the craziness of the Brick'n'Mortar real world. Cleaned up my email so I have half a hope of keeping up with things. Generally enjoying a thoroughly unplanned day.

Feelin' pretty good.

Apparently, Citra Solv cannot be obtained anymore in my corner of West Raleigh, East Cary. So maybe I order the stuff? Or maybe I just take the plunge and try straight vinegar with tea tree oil for disinfecting. Already got the vinegar, and tea tree is just up the street, so that's the path of least resistance. I would really like to find a place around here where I can have an open fire outside and stay up all night looking at the stars through wintry tree branches. Or at least part of the night. So I've looked at the discharge data that we collected and it looks pretty good. Even with a mere six points for each site a very nice trendline is apparent. Looks like creating a stage-discharge rating curve is going to be less complicated than other issues ( Read more... )

I love fall. This is my favorite time of year.

So our stream discharge measurements started out pretty rough - the intense rains overnight made one site doable, but the other had way to high water and velocity for us to feel safe doing a discharge measurement.
