5 year plan
I'm trying to work out my 5-year plan. I know I want to pay off my loans and start an advanced degree, but I'm not sure what exactly I want to study. For a long time, I simply assumed that I would go on to greater depth in my field, but now I'm beginning to rethink that in light of the difficulty in breaking even $50,000 / year while working 80 ( Read more... ) -

Some days I feel so very depressed about my chances of ever paying off that $50,000 in school loans. I don't understand how people can graduate from college without any/few scholarships and no loans. Did I go wrong somewhere? Now I feel massively disadvantaged: I can't save up for a house; I have to pay off my loans first. I can't save up for a ( Read more... ) -

I've never felt so alone while surrounded by so many people. I've felt for a while that I have a great many shallow relationships, but none that are very deep. Aside from my brothers, I can't think of anyone that would be likely to ask me to be in their weddings. Today was my students' graduation. Things seem to have stalled with the prospective new ladyfriend. I either have a knack for choosing the ones with issues, or I cause them to develop. Like (it seems) most women, she has mad body issues, despite being fit. She also has random phobias/hatreds, which I won't go into here, but it makes life interesting. Just an example: socks. made it to japan ok. i`m currently bombing around tokyo, thankfully with a semi-local to guide me. i discovered that there are cool stores here called hard off for used hardware like AC etc, book off for used books... and theres a store in my future town called food off... used food? -
broken up, finally
so for the last few days, I've been badmouthing erica. Since she left in June, I've been slowly getting some perspective on our relationship, and little of it seemed good to me.
