I think the first time Aeryn mentions 'recreation' is in "The Way We Weren't". Taking Off the Edge by Alison Dobell is the first fic I read that defined 'recreation'. This story by Roseveare blew me away when I first read it. It was posted prior to the airing of the final four episodes of season 3 in the US. It's all John and Harvey and Scorpius -- two enemies stranded on a dead world. The language Roseveare uses is wonderful - you feel the heat and sand along with the characters. A great story.
