I decided to go to Chevron 7.2
I just ordered my ticket for Chevron. Now to find a hotel, especially since I know nothing about the area. While I am excited about P4, I really wanted to meet Joe and since it seems unlikely he will be invited to P4, I'll grab what chance I have. Ok, this is ridiculous and insulting if true....
Just saw this article in the Phoenix paper... There's ways to save the taxpayers money, this isn't it. One more reason to vote for Obama.

Hopefully this week is better than last week
Well, it's Monday and the start of a new week, which began with me on the phone to the IRS. Again. I thought back in May I had settled my whole tax dispute, especially when I received a letter from the IRS about two weeks ago saying they were crediting my account. Of the 13 students in my lab section, 4 of them have emailed me today to see if there is anything they can do (and two of them stressed literally anything) for an extra point or two for their final grade. Well, my lab research has been dealt a minor setback. I had planned to grow my cultures at my old lab (the company I had worked for full-time for 5 years and part-time on and off for 3). Summer semester is over!
The summer session is over tomorrow; the lab portion is done - I just need to finish grading the lab final. The final was worth 50 points or 20% of their final lab grade, so I had to strike a balance with being fairly comprehensive without making it a long test. This is my last full week of teaching lab - next week they just have one lab, a lab review, and their lab final. I'm just hoping I make it through Thursday's lab - the frog dissection. I know it's necessary and educational, but that doesn't mean I have to like it ( Read more... )
