book recommendations
by the way, the His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman totally rocks and I'm hooked. I bought the 2nd and 3rd books in the States and I'm so stoked to read them. But first, I have to finish Eats, Shoots and Leaves: A No-nonsense Guide to Punctuation by Lynne Truss. It is fantastic, funny, and a recommendation for everyone, both grammar- ( Read more... ) -

hey.
I'm in San Diego, visiting family, going swing dancing, cleaning out stuff from my Mom's and Grandma's houses. Hanging out with my sister and mostly complaining about our Mom. She is, in fact, crazy and depressed. It's not fun to deal with.

I just have to say that I'm really glad The Beatles weren't allowed to make a film version of Lord of the Rings.
In other news, I'm going to be very tired tomorrow. Tomorrow there is some kind of women's arts festival called Kjerringtorget in Nesbyen, a town about 45 minutes away from Ål, so I'm going there early in the morning to hear people ( Read more... ) -
