I frequently here people around me say "I forgot to eat." I wonder, how does this happen? How does a person forget to eat? Do you just not recognize that growling emptiness that is your stomach? This is a blog entry regarding a psychology study of Americans' fear of being a victim in a terrorist attack. I like it. I, like many rational Americans, are absolutely tired of hearing about "terrorist attacks." And I'm also tired of people being scared out of their minds about it. I was listening to NPR news tonight and they were asking people whether or not they would eat meat from cloned animals. The FDA has now deemed cloned meat safe. I was surprised that the majority (almost all) of the people they asked said not a chance. Some of their reasons had to do with ethics, but most just thought it was "gross" or "grotesque." This last week Houghton once again hosted the US National Nordic Ski Championships. And once again, I was out with camera in hand. I was lucky enough to be able to borrow a fancy digital SLR from a friend for the weekend, and it sure was GREAT.
