The gig this week was to write a fable. My story is an abysmal failure, at least in the sense of being a fable. It totally isn't. It's just a jumble of weirdness. No moral at all. In fact, it sort of rambles on and never really ends at all. What can I say? I had nothing this week. But I tried. A for effort?

The gig this week was to write based on an older idea you'd had, that didn't work. I tried to do the following as a plot for NaNoWriMo a few years ago, and failed with a quickness. Damn, this story sucks. The prompt was to mythicize an average day in your life. I used an assumed name, because I don't want to read my own stupid name over and over again, and I'm betting neither do you. I had no ideas, and it shows. Here is some more fiction, for the two or three people who might read it. The prompt was to use the phrase "who wants the world" in the body of the story somewhere. Almost too freeing, after the laser-precision of last week's exercise. But here is what I came up with. Hasn't been edited or rewritten or anything. It's raw ore :)
