Sarah just experienced her first earthquake! There was a 5.4 earthquake that struck at about 5:30 this morning in Southern Illinois and Sarah woke up because her bed started shaking. Since we've all been sick, I haven't been out of the house in ages. So I am going to see if Sarah wants to go see Juno at the evening bargain time. The only place that's showing it is on campus which is usually packed on weekends, but Purdue is going on spring break for the next week so I think we'll chance it ( Read more... ) -

OMG. The University next door to where I grew up, where both of my parents graduated from and where my grandfather taught for decades, had a school shooting this afternoon. I don't think know anyone who was personally affected by the shooting, however I do have at least one cousin who works there. She works in the Provost's office though and it ( Read more... ) -

The local school district just closed school for tomorrow. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I am so ready for this month to end already. I am hoping February is a healthier, happier month.
