Greetings from the new compy! Vista is fucking bizarre, but the basics seem to be in working order. Though it's already done a crash-like behavior (screen going black and not responding to ctl-alt-del), and I've only had it working for an hour. I had the most amazing soft serve (!) ice cream cone yesterday, and I had to share. It was called 'Pineapple Dole' (probably should have been Dole Pineapple), and had all the tart and sweet notes of a real pineapple, but with the pleasant tongue-coatingness of soft serve. 1. No matter how hard I scrub, the smell of this organic fertilizer will not come out of my hands. Only time seems to do the trick.

2. Having lightning strike within feet of you (as it just did 5 minutes ago) has a similar effect to what you see in the movies: it did indeed feel like every hair on my body stood on end.

Back from a ten day vacation to Kiawah Island, SC with Cristin's parents, Katie, and Johnny. Tired. Got used to life at a .2 pace, now it's back to a straight 1:1 pace. Work tomorrow. Ugh ugh ugh. I'll go through details later, or steal Cristin's entry on the subject if she writes a good one. Peace.
