So ... I just typed this whole long entry, saying that I almost blew up today and was complaining about the practices of certain nurses and respiratory therapists, on and on , blah blah blah. Friends ...
My best friend dropped off a bocket-o-goodies for me today. It made my day.

I have now been in the hospital for 4 weeks. I really can't believe it's been that long. I know I shouldn't complain because there are many others who have been in longer than myself. It really gets on my nerves when medical professionals refer to me as a "cfer" or "a cystic." It always seems to go along with generalizations. "Those cfers" ... "You are one of those cystics" ... and, yes, the best one I have ever heard ... "Well, most cystics grow up to be alcoholics." Can you believe it ( Read more... ) -

My latest daydream is getting my hair and makeup done, going to a bar (or any sort of public place for that matter) and dancing to the song Tik Tok by Ke$ha. Lame, I know. It's Always Something ...
So today, the doctor comes in and tells me that my health insurance called the hospital and they don't want to pay to have me stay here anymore and that they think I should go home. Seriously??? I am on 10 liters of oxygen 24 hours a day. When I'm not using a regular nasal cannula, I am on a bi-pap machine with 10 liters of oxygen pumped in. To ( Read more... ) -
