This course deals mainly with the very much popular Ohmiya SK, a comedy duo formed by two members (Ohno Satoshi and Ninomiya Kazunari) of the very much popular JE band, Arashi. This introductory course is to familiarize students to the totally adorable and obviously undeniable Ohmiya pairing.

What is Ohmiya SK?
Ohmiya SK stands for Ohno Satoshi and Ninomiya Kazunari. Complete with costumes, a theme song (with a dance, too) and a trademark pose, this comedy duo performs short skits and spoofs during Arashi concerts.

It’s really interesting to know that Ohno and Nino decided to continue Ohmiya SK because their costume was expensive (HUH). Ohno mentioned in an interview that JE executives had a negative response with regard to Ohmiya SK. Little do they know then that fans would absolutely adore their Ohmiya SK performances. In recent interviews about Arashi’s current Asia Tour, members noticed that fans usually did the loudest fangirl noise they can come up with once the Ohmiya SK segment starts. Aiba suggested that the other members join the comedy duo in which Sho immediately disagreed. XD
The Red: Ohno Satoshi
Ohno Satoshi became the leader of Arashi neither because he was the oldest member nor because he has the most beautiful voice among the members. It was because he won a game of JanKenPon! Though technically if the more professional principle of “majority wins” is applied, Ohno would have been the leader nonetheless. Notice how Nino already calls him with an endearing Ohchan at such an early time as their debut. Anyway, being the leader of Arashi doesn’t really make him much of an authority because he still gets to be picked on a lot of times, which makes him more adorable because he never fights back. Instead, he apologizes readily or shows an expression of defeat--an irresistible bait for both the Arashi boys and fangirls alike. He seems shy and quiet or absent-minded most of the time but there are also a couple of random moments where he acts totally genki, sometimes crazy, every bit childish but oh so cute. These characteristics doesn't make him any less of a leader. He's more of the reliable type than that of the command and excecutive. Anyway, though Ohno may be the oldest member, he definitely has such a babyface. He doesn’t even look 26 right now. With such puppy eyes and a deadly pout, Ohchan is definitely everyone’s uke! XD
Ohno Satoshi is an all around artist-he is excellent in both visual and of course, performing arts. Among his hobbies are drawing, painting and molding clay. He choreographs his own solos and some of the junior’s dances. He prefers to act on a theater stage than in front of a camera, making him gain the most number of theater plays among the other boys. I personally regard him as the best singer and dancer of Arashi but don’t take my word for it, go see it yourself then decide. :>
Random facts:
- He is far-sighted and he wears glasses when reading and drawing.
- He has a hard time reading Kanji. :<
- He has sixth sense. For real. :O
- He loves to eat. Other members say that he has weird taste buds and an iron stomach. XD;
- He also likes to drink! He's the one who usually drinks Sake with grampas in Magomago Arashi.
- He is really close to his mom. He is said to be a mama’s boy. His mom even buys him his clothes. XD
- He said that he does web designs--then of what, Ohchan!? XO
The Blue: Ninomiya Kazunari
Ninomiya Kazunari will be seen as the second lead actor in a Clint Eastwood film (Letters to Iwo Jima) late this year. He is such an exceptional actor that he was already taking major movie roles (e.g., Amagi Goe) since he was 14. As an Arashi member, Nino is the most musically inclined. He is excellent with both guitars and piano (when I say excellent, I really mean excellent--I will upload Nino solos in the future for reference), and he also plays bass, drums and harmonica among others. He has a voice that can hit any high note and many fans regard him as the second best singer of Arashi. Of course, he is good with dancing. Another amazing talent that he has lies in his knowledge of the culinary arts. Yes, you heard me right, Nino-chan cooks! Yet do not fear the perfection for he is not. This boy is opinionated and tends to be a bit insensitive and tactless, if not boring, at times. It’s evident in magazine interviews, talk shows and his radio show. He’s a prankster and his Ni No Arashi, the show segment where he plays a prank on the other members, totally wins so much. Contrary to his seemingly sneaky and mischievous nature, Nino writes and composes really sad and somewhat depressing solo songs (e.g., Yume, Konseki/Kako). It matched his emo hair so much.
There is nothing that Nino loves more than his Ohchan gameboy and video games. He admits that he’d rather stay home than spend leisure time outdoors.
