Had a lovely weekend at Wolverton.
Can now just about play Renaissance violin for 5 minute bursts. Modern fiddle to follow hopefully...
Life is therefore a great deal more manageable!

Really lovely lazy afternoon with Peter and Ali in Regents Park. Mostly just sitting around eating ice cream (sorbet for me) and smelling the roses.

What happened to Summer?
I'd definitely be better off in my bear outfit while it's this cold

A friend of Miles' gave us some purple potatoes so we had them for supper last night. I was expecting them to taste more like sweet potatoes but in fact they tasted fairly normal. (I think they're the sort that blue tortilla chips are made from).
The water I boiled them in turned green which was very odd.

Alice has been stalking a frog/toad (not sure which) in the garden all afternoon. She looks ever so surprised each time it jumps away from her - can see this going on for some time. She may be beautiful but she's certainly not a good hunter.

Spent a pleasant if damp afternoon picking berries in Miles' garden. Now have quantities of redcurrants, blackcurrants and gooseberries to play with. I anticipate lots of jam making.

Had first physio session today. Not too painful and lots of exercises to work on. They've given me 2 months as a ballpark figure for how long it'll be before I can play the violin again. That's longer than I'd like but at least it's something definite to work with
