If it stops pouring buckets tomorrow, I will dig up the calla lilies and irises and replant them in a better spot.  They both magically sprouted up in my garden, and I think they would be better suited down the path a ways (and away from all of my herbs).  I have successfully sprouted heirloom tomatoes and bell peppers thanks to crystalridge 's plant advice, ( Read more... )

I am sick. This is totally not cool. Spent the day doing two shows on various states of Dayquil-delirium.

BUT because they are Awesome People, I received a get-better liter of orange juice on my doorstep from Tanya, and a belated-birthday YA fantasy novel from beeker121 .

Hooray. Time to enjoy said awesomeness.

Also pretending I don't have to go to work tomorrow......or clean the apartment, which is in serious need.

I ran my half marathon yesterday.  I timed myself at 2:34:43..................and the official results website says 2:35:38.  It is unclear on the results website what time that represents, so I'm just going to tell myself that that is my time from the gun and 2:34:43 is closer to my actual chip time ( Read more... )

I am the luckiest AD ever to work with the OSJ chorus.  They are awesome all around.  Director and I busted out laughing many a time during today's runs of Acts 1 and 2.

It was a very slow fourteen miles, but fourteen miles nonetheless.  I treated the last mile more like a cool-down, walking a good part of it and then taking the rest at a slow jog.  I finished 13 in 2:45; and the 14 in 3:00 ( Read more... )

After sprints, a hot bath, and many streches......WHY ARE MY CALVES STILL TENSE?!?!?!?!

Ran 8 mi last week, 10 mi this morning.  The 10 mi clocked in at just over 2 hours, so here's hoping my race is another PR.  The time to beat is 2:19  or something close to that.

I think I'm going to push for 14 next week, then taper.
