A good friend of mine died this morning from some complications he was having as a result of throat cancer. I feel...strangely aloof to it? I always feel this way when someone I know has died. Made some more progress in the Dark Tower today and also read a horrifying chapter in 1984. Whenever O’Brien is lecturing Winston it freaks me out. I've been reading far too much Dark Tower at once. I think that like the way it was written it should be read. I've started to absorb some of the mannerisms in the book into my life. I see groups of friends and think " ka-tet." Also had the embarrasing instance of being asked if I was 19 by a girl in my math class and answering (not kidding) "Aye, ( Read more... )
