Estrella told me today that her teacher gave her and another child "5 nuts each" as a reward for good behavior.  I asked what kind of nuts they were and she told me "I got 3 wrinkle nuts and 2 teardrop nuts"

That would be 3 pecans and 2 almonds.

Lol.  Funny kid.

Last night was such a rollercoaster!  Excitement abounded in my house over the election of Obama- only to be stopped short by the precarious position of Prop 8.  And of course, this morning it looks like 8 really is going to pass.  I am glad to see that it was close, and it actually didn't pass in the county I live in.  The thought of such rampant ( Read more... )

My kiddo went to hang with the BH's parents last week, then my sister picked her up on Thursday.  I had a conversation with the BH's mom about activities, food, etc that were okay for the kiddo.   No such conversation happened with my sister, I just figured that she had it covered.  My sister is a nurse, a pediatric nurse at that, and has two ( Read more... )

I passed!  I'm an official, real-life, actual REGISTERED NURSE!!  I have a license number and everything.  And my name is on the website.  And I can totally sign things and put "RN" after my name.

Wahoo!
