My DVD player is roughly four or five years old, I accept that as a matter of course, I may as well say that there's a crank on the outside and I need to manually spin the disc like its a 21st century Mutoscope. It's a sad statement of fact that Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare is only one of about three in the entire franchise to call a time-out and try to shed some light on Freddy's character and the path that led him to enter into a kind of Teenager Home Run Chase with Jason, like some blood-covered version of McGuire vs. Sosa.
