2 weeks already....
So, today Dominick would have been 2 weeks old. I can't believe it's been that long already. I relieve his birth moment after moment in my head. I can remember every little detail from Weds night with the pain and bleeding up until until the Friday morning when I held him for the last time. After 2 years and 2 deaths, I finally have some answers.
So, I heard from my Doctor the other day. He got the report back from the pathologist for my placenta. Turns out, I had a placental abruption...it dettached from the uterine wall. Apparently, these things happen pretty fast & can't be seen on an ultrasound. That explains the bleeding, the back pain, and why everything looked good on the Monday ( Read more... ) -
Wide awake since 3:45am
So last night, Jay brought home two bottles of cheap wine and some movies. I wasn't really in the mood to drink, but thought that maybe I might actually fall asleep at a decent hour and get some rest. Went to the funeral home this morning to set up all the arrangements for Dominick. We used the same place as we did with Benjamin. They are fantastic. They really made a shitty situation hurt a little less. She knew everything I wanted, and needed to do and informed Jay before we got there. This way, we were in, signed ( Read more... ) -
I'm so broken
My heart hurts so much right now. I can't understand what happened....what went wrong. On the Monday before, I had an appointment with the specialist and everything was fine. I know for a fact I felt him on Tuesday and I am pretty positive that i felt him on Weds between 11-2. He was usually most active during that time, so thats when I did my kick ( Read more... ) -

Had my appointment with the specialist today. So far, other than the gastroschesis, everything looks perfect=) Placenta and bloodflow all look good as well. I have another appointment with my OB on 3/29, specialist again in 2 weeks, and need to make an appointment with the pediactric surgeon and get a "tour" of the NICU asap.
