Why YamaChii? Because apart from the obvious fact they are no-words-can-describe-how-much cute together, they are also totally canon, yo. It's a little difficult to view yamachii as just friendship, what with Chinen's constant love confessions and all.
Yamada and Chinen are probably the most pimped members out of HS7. They work together a lot; like in 1 Pound Gospel with Kame, backdancing for Takaki Yuya and Friends, and singing together with Uekusa Yuta in HSJ's debut con. They even have their own love song! (Which totally took the translators a whole day just trying to understand wtf they were saying) There are two versions of the mp3. We have the RYOSUKE (2008) version and the YUURI (2009) version. Go figure. The fancam from 2008 can be downloaded here. We've yet to acquire HQ videos for this because Johnny is sadistic and won't let the cons where they perform it release a DVD. WHY JOHNNY WHY. D<
Yamada and Chinen also starred in the drama Scrap Teacher together, where you can witness some tiny moments of sheer bliss. And it was around the time Scrap Teacher aired when there was an explosion of YamaChii rabu rabu. Scrap Teacher is over now, But not to worry, you can still have a chance to see YamaChii rabu rabu every week since they're together (along with Hikaru) on School Kakumei. And then we have the occasional Hey!Say!7 Ultra Power, where every. flirting. happens. You will understand once you go over this whole post. They're totally taking over, btw.
Anyhow, Yamada seems to be the only person who is disturbed by Chinen's lapwhoring. Minus Ryutaro, because Ryutaro has his reasons. Yamada's just shy. 4:46 - 5:16. WATCH THE AUDIENCE GO "KAWAII~♥". And speaking of Yamada's bashful moments, lets not forget Chinen's letter reading to him, where Chinen thinks Yamada is cool for buying him juice. Only Chinen can make Yamada smile this shyly.

And according to this con report, Yabu, Hikaru and Inoo spotted YamaChii's rendezvous at the cinema, watching Crows ZERO. A yakuza movie based on the comic book Crows by Hiroshi Takahashi. At first we suspected that it was just a lame excuse for a chickflick, but then found out that Yamada totally fanboys this manga-ka. WE FIND THAT CHINEN ACCOMPANYING HIM TO SEE THIS VERY SWEET OKAY.
Now this is where Yabumama enters. Yabumama is leader, obvs. And even Yabumama approves of YamaChii:
Let's talk about YamaChii. As in, more YamaChii. Sometimes, they like to just flirt around and tease each other, a lot. They also enjoy attracting everyone's attention. YamaChii can has angst potential too; and when they get on each other's nerves, they seem to settle this through boxing. Chinen has a weird liking to Yamada's legs, has this habit of looking after Yamada's diet, and likes to stalk. And they just can't keep their hands off each other during concerts.
Yamada, on the other hand, wants to keep Chinen in a cage--as a pet, okay.
