Deciduous trees lose their leaves in the winter to conserve water or to better survive the coming cold weather. If the City were a normal, average place I'd guess we're going to have a very cold winter judging by the behavior of the trees. I didn't really go see my Mom on Mother's Day like I probably should have. Sometimes we were in the field but sometimes I was at home. I always sent flowers and a letter so that she'd know I was thinking about her but now I wish I'd gone to see her more often.
