Zanpakutou Chronicles Index
I finally decided to do a long-overdue overhaul of The Zanpakutou Chronicles index. Once upon a time, I had an idea for a one or two shot Ichigo-and-Zangetsu-centric fic. Then Zangetsu invited all his friends into my head and that was all she wrote. The stories in this universe will focus on the relationships between shinigami and between a shinigami and his or her zanpakutou. I write characters, for the most part, so that's what you'll see here. This'll get updated every time I post something new, of course, so feel free to bookmark this if you're following the story but don't want to sift through my journal to find it. Scroll down to the bottom (under the cut) for a chronological lising. Please note that reading through chronologically gives you all the intertwining (and frequently unfinished) storylines at once, so it may or may not make things any clearer. It's up to you how you decide to read it.
The Ichigo and Zangetsu Set
Breaking Point
Summary: So, what did happen to Zanpakutou-verse Shirosaki, anyway? This takes place somewhere in the neighborhood of five years before chapter 1, I think.
Chapter 1-Fighting Together
Summary: A random battle through Zangetsu's eyes.
Chapter 2-Not Quite A Deadly Enemy
Summary: Ichigo gets "attacked" by a girl and calls Zangetsu for help.
Chapter 3-Spreading The Word Through Zanpakutou ( part 1 and part 2)
Summary: After the events of chapter 2, the shinigami get nosy and send their zanpakutou to...investigate. Yeah, investigate. Let's call it that.

Summary: Apparently someone forgot to tell Isshin that Ichigo didn't actually die.
Chapter 4 Postscript: Be Not Afraid
Summary: Even the most mild-mannered zanpakutou will strike out at a perceived threat to their shinigami. Zangetsu is NOT mild-mannered.
Bath Time
Summary: Unresolved what? Sexual tension? Surely you jest. More Zangetsu and Zabimaru than Ichigo and Zangetsu, although Ichigo and Renji do play a role in the action.

The Toushirou and Hyourinmaru Set
Unless otherwise noted, all the stories in this set take place pre-series, a few years or so after Toushirou was promoted to captain.

Summary: Toushirou and Hyourinmaru fight. Toushirou snaps. Hyourinmaru cheats.

Summary: After the events of part 1, Toushirou has some thinking to do. This isn't gonna end well...
Part 3-Face Me
Summary: A small, secret part of Toushirou used to worry about the vast differences between himself and Hyourinmaru and what might become of the two of them as a result; but there’s something about finding yourself flat on your back, staring up at a furious ice dragon growling You need an attitude adjustment, brat, scarcely two inches away from your face that tends to change your mind about such things.
Part 4-Racing Waves
Summary: Toushirou and Hyourinmaru play together on the beach. This is still pre-series, but only just. Toushirou is well-established as the Tenth's captain.
The Byakuya and Senbonzakura Set
On His Knees
Summary: After Hisana's death, Byakuya begins to die inside. Too bad for him, Senbonzakura has other ideas.
On the Job Hazards
Summary: Byakuya orders Senbonzakura to evaluate a Sixth division shinigami's zanpakutou. Things go downhill from there. (The working title for this was "Senbonzakura and the Crazy Yaoi Fangirl Zanpakutou.")

Summary: Minazuki takes her duties as a healer very seriously.
