Got my copy of Leigh Bardugo's "Ruin and Rising" on Friday. The only time in my life I've ever gotten a book I wanted ahead of its release day so that was a nice surprise!

There is a nice shout out in the acknowledgements to the Brotherhood Without Banners and our parties under the Team Book Pusher section.

So there was this rather insulting article last week in slate about how if you are an adult you should be ashamed of yourself if you read children's books. Because we should aspire to be adults and read adult things. Last week I was in New Orleans for the RT Booklovers Convention. 2,500 attendees, mainly women, so its like a giant weekend slumber party to a certain extent. This weekend was C2E2. It is now in its 4th year and it has really come into its own. It now has the proper amount of space and vendors so there is lots to look at and lots of people browsing but you aren't being constantly run over by a Storm Trooper.
