I've just had someone email me asking me to send her one of my stories in pdf format so that she doesn't have to print out and can download it to her ereader.  To which I'm going, "Huh??"  To all the other writers out there, can I ask if a request like this is usual?  I've never run across it before and don't have a clue how to convert a Word ( Read more... )

 Whoohoo!!  'His Way' just became the Winner of the Best Spike Characterization and runner-up for Best Plot at the Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards!  And I ended up runner-up for Best New Author!  Oh, wow!  I'm just over the moon about this!  Thank you everyone who nominated and voted for me!  You're the best!! 

Whoa!  I just got an email saying 3 of my stories - His Way, Her Way and Changes - have all been nominated at the Fang Fetish Awards!  Thank you, whoever nominated me!  Wow!

 Oh WOW!!!  I just got an email saying I'd won Best Alternate Reality in the Fang Fetish Awards for 'Learning To Dance'!  I was just knocked completely off my chair because I never thought I would ever win.  This was only the second Spuffy story I'd written and there were so many other really fabulous stories nominated.  THANK YOU to all the mods ( Read more... )

'Changes', my sequel to 'Her Way' is finally up.  I'd never done a sequel before.  It was a real learning experience.  There seemed to be kind of only two ways to do it -- either break up our pair, which I couldn't bear to do, and get them back together again, or focus on other elements, which meant more action and less romance.  I decided to go ( Read more... )

Earth Hour today!  I'm already running around turning off things in preparation for 8-9 pm tonight.  The World Wildlife Fund started it in Sydney, Australia last year (Yay for the Aussies!) as a signal that people are concerned about climate change and it caught on.  So hopefully people all over the globe will turn their lights off tonight.  Maybe ( Read more... )
