Just a quick update to say that my psychiatric consultation yesterday went very well. He seemed to have no qualms about giving me a second referral for surgery. Now I just need to wait for Dr Curtis to send me his referral letter so I can forward it to the surgeon to get my date for surgery confirmed ( Read more... )

Things are still proceeding according to plan. Went to see Dr Curtis earlier this month and he has referred me to a Dr Adrian Lord to get a second psych opinion for surgery. I'm going down to London to see Dr Lord on the 15th of May. Getting rather nervous about this but coping ok. I keep reassuring myself that I'm sane and I'm in a good ( Read more... )

Went down to London yesterday for a surgical consultation. I was a little nervous beforehand but the surgeon put me at ease. We had a detailed but friendly discussion about my requirements and what I need to do over the next few months. The waiting is almost over! I have a consultation with the surgeon I want to have SRS with on March 11th, hopefully will be setting a date for surgery some time in July. Mid April time I'll be going to see Dr Curtis to sort out pre-surgery stuff and get a referral to see somebody for a second psych opinion. Mid May I'll be going for the second ( Read more... )
