First week after faire
After two months of leaving before 9:00 every Saturday and Sunday, and the only stops being QuikTrips for gas, and possibly a fast run to the grocery at 7:30 or 8:00 when I got back home, it was nigh exhilarating to not leave home today until after 11:00! A lovely day off
I didn't quite manage to stay abed until 9:00 drinking coffee, but I did lounge about until past 8:00, so that's all right. I cleaned the kitchen, including cabinets and door frames, mopped, set up the new litter box, vacuumed, put away laundry, tossed out catalogs, and had begun sorting out mail when James arrived. Taking tomorrow off!
Closing weekend for the 2009 Georgia Renaissance Festival is over and done. I stayed until 8:00 Sunday night packing up the rock counter, my corner of the shop. Terry had Guinness and Hard Lemonade and sandwich fixings for us, and we all went with the Hard Lemonade (Guinness is just wrong when it's 90 degrees). Week seven - the rain is gone!
And it was back to the standard near 90 temps that we expect in Georgia this time of year. Saturday was the first day this season without rain between opening gate and closing -- and I mean RAIN, not little drips and drizzles. Day 3 of 3-day
Heavy rain beginning 5 minutes before opening gate lasting 45 to an hour. Clearing up. Rain beginning again in earnest just before 6:30 while we're doing last minute privy run and loading car. Day 2 of Three Day Weekend
Rain early, south of downtown Atlanta. I restocked while in my jeans and t-shirt, but had a severe case of I don't wanna, so I didn't go to the back to change until opening.
