Yesterday's last day of chemotherapy and irradiation moved to today, because the irradiation machine was offline yesterday. Busted. Unworking.

Onward. Gnrgnhrghrngrrrr.

Two days left.  Of brain radiation therapy and chemotherapy.  Two.  Maybe, maybe even only one.  I've got to check that with the medical people tomorrow morning.

I felt great this afternoon - warm, ambitious, happy, all that.  I was ambitious - I wanted to figure out some true career to deal with while I was recovering from my brain damage.

Starting on Monday I've got three more irradiation/chemotherapy days, then it's over.  Good God almighty.  I have dropped farther - I gave up on the outside world today.

I ran around shopping on Friday, and Saturday spent most of the day putting up a garage sale.  Sunday, I crashed and blew out - my brain expanded on the left, squishing up against my skull and left eyeball again.  Probably because I also screwed up medicine-taking twice over two days.

On Friday I got out of the car in one parking lot while our friend C_____ got into her car, so I yelled about four versions of her name (that I couldn't quite remember), and she recognized me.  Quickly and chirpily we chatted about her cancer (across her waist) and my cancer (in my brain), and were amazed at the same treatment we were getting from ( Read more... )

My brother-in-law called and I gave him permission to read my LJ.  He started reading my journal last night, and sending comments on stuff I'd done months or a year ago.  I freaked out.  I'd given him permission but then couldn't stand it, so I turned off the journal.

When I go to the hospital to get irradiated, I have to sit in the waiting room.  The waiting room across the hall from the irradiation machine.

With:

1.  Bad lighting.

2.  A big TV playing CNN news full blast.

3.  A nun.

Hardly anyone in that room, waiting for irradiation, wants to pay attention to the television, or this nun.  But that's too bad ( Read more... )

Oy.  Burning out.  Monday, the highest day of the week, let me clean all the upstairs wood floors.  That gave me a lot of exercise.  Tuesday, I walked and biked around part of this end of town.  After a lot of exercise and two zappages, I'm shaky and cold.  I've got a great plan for the afternoon, though, so I'm just going to rest before then.
