I went to pick Sarah up tonight and she didn't want to leave. She ran away from me, she hung on to the sitter's leg, and she cried when we left.

I figured this would probably happen some day, but thought I was way too secure to let this bother me.

I was really very wrong about that.

I got a Facebook account. I wasn't going to get a Facebook account, because I don't need a Facebook account, but then my husband friended my sister and my nephew on Facebook and I felt old and left out. So now I have a Facebook account. So, friend me if you want.

I am in a foul mood. Nothing's really wrong, except that work is stressful, but that's why it's called "work" and not "whimsical fun". I lost my debit card (I think) but that can be fixed. I noticed that my thighs are horrifying, and I sort of want to wear bike shorts under my clothes at all times for the rest of my life, but, eh, not much I can do ( Read more... )

Sarah is much better. Her diapers are still a little messy, and I haven't given her dairy yet (save yogurt), but she's keeping down a regular, bland diet pretty well. She's also a lot perkier and has lots more energy, so that's good ( Read more... )

Sarah is *still* sick. This is day five of throwing up. She's fine as long as she has nothing but water, Pedialite and PediaPops, but as soon as I give her food--no matter how bland--she's sick again. She's miserable, she's starving, and she's lost a ton of weight--I think a little more than 2 lbs, and she's was only 26 lbs when she started (and 36 ( Read more... )

I got Sarah's flu. Oh, boy, did I get it.

It's a shame that you can't put yourself in suspended animation for a few days while you wait for a virus to clear your body. I am not loving life so much right now.

ETA: I recommend PediaPops. They're Gatorade Otterpops, essentially, but they make me feel better.
