Следующего наблюдения ждали месяц (прямо закономерность, какая то!). И вот на 6 ноября для приполярных областей объявляют о возможности наблюдения П.С. 6 правда не чего не произошло, но вот в ночь с 7 на 8 удалось неплохо поснимать!

AURORA UPDATE: A severe geomagnetic storm is in progress. If it's dark where you live, go outside and look for auroras. And if you don't see them, try taking a picture. A 30 second exposure will often reveal colorful auroras that the human eye does not see.

X3-class solar flare from sunspot 930, with coronal mass ejection directed straight towards Earth! It’s already set off an R3 (“strong”) radio blackout and an S2 (“moderate”) solar radiation storm. Hello!
I just joined. I live in Southern California, but hope to take a trip with my husband to see the Aurora sometime in the next two years after I am finished with school.
Just wondering; how does one photograph the Aurora? Are there any books that you have found helpful? I would hate to take the trip and not get any photos.
