Here he is in a cafe, seated beside Kyuhyun, and watches his Dominant and the ex-Submissive chat casually. It made him uneasy. No, it was more like this Zhou Mi made him feel uneasy from the time that he met the older ‘til now. Must be because the guy is way taller than him that it caused him to grow slightly conscious since he heard before that Kyuhyun likes long-legged girls or men, or because of the Chinese’s smile.
Heechul is right; it is hate-able. Bias aside, it is now the smile that he hated seeing the most.
Also, he found something weird here.
He remained staring at the taller man, not saying anything. He was too stunned at the sudden appearance of the guy he was curious of after talking to Heechul. It may seem rude, but he first looked around to search for the psychiatrist. Quite surprisingly, the man was nowhere in the area. How Heechul knew that he will see Zhou Mi soon-or now-is a mystery to him. Hopefully, it was just mere coincidence.
“Oh, so you already met my Sungmin. Pretty, isn’t he?” A very familiar voice caught his attention, and to his surprise, he saw Kyuhyun walking back to him. What shocked him the most was that Kyuhyun freaking smiled at Zhou Mi and even patted the guy’s shoulder like there was nothing that happened in the past between them.
Zhou Mi replied with his broken Korean, “Yes, Kui Xian, he’s a catch. Your eyes are really good.” A short cackle followed from the older male. ‘Who the hell is Kui Xian?’ he thought.
“I told you not to call me that anymore.” Kui Xian a.k.a. Kyuhyun whined. Luckily for him, it’s not the usual childish whines he hears from the younger whenever they are together and he felt like bullying the game freak. The way he said that was kind of cold, in his opinion.
“But I like it more!” came Zhou Mi’s protest, his voice getting slightly high-pitched.
The two talked more, their languages shifting from Korean to Chinese from time to time, so he did not bother listening. He got slightly dizzy due to all the happenings. Everything confuses him.
Then he realized, does this mean that Kyuhyun is actually still keeping in touch with this Zhou Mi?
All this time, he felt that Kyuhyun will shoo the guy away. Turns out, they seem to be close friends, after all that this Zhou Mi had done. Somehow, he feels betrayed.
Why not? Kyuhyun said that he had cut all his connections of his past Submissives after the contract, so why not Zhou Mi? Does being the first Submissive means receiving special treatment from Kyuhyun? Does being the one who introduced this hell to Kyuhyun means that the boy shouldn’t cut connections with him?
Judging from how normal Kyuhyun talks with Zhou Mi, the guy will get mad at him if he will argue regarding the Chinese.
He discovered that Zhou Mi owns the boutique they had went into earlier, and Kyuhyun owns a part of the stocks. They are even business partners. Looking at Zhou Mi’s appearance, he guesses that the man’s age ranges from forty to fifty. And so he deduces that Zhou Mi is a pedophile.
He then observed Kyuhyun. The guy looked very comfortable talking with the older man, something which is very rare when it comes to him. Who really Zhou Mi is in Kyuhyun’s life that for the very first time he is with Kyuhyun, he feels out of place? It is as if he is not there. Since the two started talking about business and some people he doesn’t know, Kyuhyun never spared him a glance.
He can’t take it anymore. He is not the boyfriend, but he hates being ignored like this. Yes, he doesn’t know anything about the business world, still, they should have considered that fact and take the initiative to change the subject so that no one would feel disregarded.
He stands up, deliberately pushing the chair backwards, creating a squeaky sound. It successfully catches the two’s attention, along with the other customers in the café. He didn’t mind the frown the formed on Kyuhyun’s forehead. Instead, he stares at the slight smirk on the Chinese’s lips.
So this was his plan.
He could feel his cheeks burning in anger at the sight, and if possible, smoke would be blown out from his nostrils. He glances back at Kyuhyun, the man is still staring at him in confusion. That just means Kyuhyun is unaware of what Zhou Mi is planning.
Then again, Zhou Mi isn’t the only one who has the cards on his hands.
Show him he can’t have everything he wants, that he needs to work harder for it. Be more of a challenge to him. Annoy him until he surrenders and decides to give you everything you want. Make him feel that he’ll die if you’re not around.
Without saying anything, he slightly bows and turns around to walk away, not forgetting to give Zhou Mi a smirk, which, by the way, he learned from Kyuhyun. He didn’t need to see the old man’s reaction. He will wait for the time he could wipe that ugly smirk on his ugly wrinkled face.
“Sungmin!” The smirk on his lips grows wider whilst he hears Kyuhyun calling and running after him. Not wanting Zhou Mi to hear everything yet, he fastens his pace until he reaches out of the café.
Once they’re out, Kyuhyun grabs his arm and makes him look at the taller. Confusion is still written all over the younger’s face.
“What are you doing?!” Kyuhyun hisses.
“I’m going to the condo.”
“Hyung, what is wrong with you?”
He stays silent. For once, he wants to act like a spoiled girlfriend because he is really, really, really mad at Kyuhyun. There is a possibility that Kyuhyun may reason out that he had done it unconsciously but that’s the whole point. It would hurt more if he knew that Kyuhyun had ignored him unknowingly just because Zhou Mi is in front of him.
“Sungmin.” It angered him more when Kyuhyun used that bossy tone of his. One would think he’s pregnant due to his constant mood swings recently. Even Donghae had joked to him about that. If only he can get pregnant. If only…
He breathes in deeply, preparing himself for an argument with Kyuhyun. “Why do you even meet up with him after all those horrible things he did to you?”
Kyuhyun raises an eyebrow as if the question is the most ridiculous one he had ever heard. “He’s still important.”
“Important?” he scoffs. “Look what he did to you! If it weren’t for him, you wouldn’t be this miserable! He’s still that important to you?!” He sees Kyuhyun look away, and this encouraged him “Do you love him?” the last question was barely a whisper. Truth to be told, he doesn’t want to hear Kyuhyun’s answer to it.
“Min, stop.”
He bit his lips to control a cry from escaping his mouth. Even though the other didn’t say it directly by refusing to answer it, he knows that Kyuhyun still has something for the old man. The thought that all this time he believed that Kyuhyun loves him, when it is really not, disappointed him a lot.
“No! I will not stop! I don’t like that bamboo stick, especially with you!” He yells, clenching his fist tightly.
His heart sinks as Kyuhyun’s eyes darken dangerously. “You don’t tell me what to do.”
Still, he will not give up without putting up a fight. “I am not telling you what to do. I am trying to tell you what you are supposed to do.”
“We’re going home,” says Kyuhyun while gripping his wrist.
Pulling his arm away from the younger’s hold, he retorts sarcastically, “No. Stay with your Mimi. I bet you missed him soooo much.”
“Lee Sungmin.”
“I’ll be going to a party with my officemates tonight. Have fun with Zhou Mi-ssi all you want.” He mutters before turning on his heel quite gracefully and starts walking away. He never knew rebelling was this fun.
“What?! Sungmin!”
Still walking, he throws a glance at Kyuhyun, faking a sweet smile, “Don’t follow me, or else I’ll break the contract,” he gets back to looking on his way, but then remembered something so he turns his head back to the fuming guy. “Oh, and I will never wear those clothes. I’m allergic to it.”
A triumphant smirk forms on his lips as he hears a frustrated grunt from behind.
As he is about to cross the road, a black Sedan stops in front of him, instantly knowing who the person inside is. He gets in the front passenger’s seat, sighing in tiredness after settling in comfortably.
“Did I do well, hyung?”
The guy seated on the driver’s seat, whose half of his face hidden under his shades, replies, “Yes, my dear. I’m sure he’ll be contemplating more about it.”
Since he did not say anything else, Heechul continues, “Where are you heading to now?” He knew that there was another meaning behind that question, that Heechul was actually asking another thing. However, he himself doesn’t know the answer to it, so he takes it literally.
“Home, at the condo.”
He needs to be in his comfort zone, he needs to be with someone who could understand him completely, he needs that one oblivious person with him who can still offer the comfort he needs despite his ignorance to everything. He needs his best friend.

“Did you and Kyuhyun-ssi fight?” Donghae asks him while gently stroking his hair. The now-brunet knew that he liked it whenever his hair is being touched like that.
He shifts in a more comfortable position on Donghae’s lap, staring blankly at the ceiling. “We didn’t.”
It’s a good thing that Donghae did not ask further. They started talking random things about their day and even the past few weeks’ happenings. To him, it felt like he hadn’t talked to his best friend for so long. Were they too busy with their work and love life to have their own friendly quality time? He missed chatting with Donghae, and it succeeded in making him forget about his current problems.
As much as possible, they avoided topics that would relate to Kyuhyun. Donghae was considerate enough not to mention a thing about Eunhyuk because it would make Sungmin remember Kyuhyun.
Coincidentally, his mom, Victoria, chose to call that time. Of course, being the Jongwoon-Sungmin supporter the woman is, she only talked about Jongwoon and how Sungmin should get him. They just rode along with her; they can’t tell that Kyuhyun is actually Sungmin’s boyfriend-as far as Donghae knows.
He missed his Jongwoon-hyung more because of it.
“Hae, what should I wear for Siwon-ssi’s party?” he asks his best friend as he looks through Donghae’s closet. He is not a party person, so he doesn’t have many clothes for occasions like this. That is why Donghae is there.
Donghae stands beside him, humming while doing the same thing as him. “Just wear whatever you’re more comfortable with. You don’t have to be that attention-catching there. Remember, you still have a boyfriend.”
Donghae is right. Even though Kyuhyun is really not his lover, he should not attract or do things that would make Kyuhyun mad at him. They have a contract, Kyuhyun is his Dominant, and he is still a Submissive. Besides, he wouldn’t want to witness an angry Kyuhyun.
But he is still mad at Kyuhyun.

Loud music blasts on his ear as he enters the bar, with rays of lights in different colors hitting his eyes. He roams around in search for the people he’s supposed to meet at the unfamiliar place. Strangers at the center are grinding their sweaty bodies on each other, some groups were having fun drinking on tables and some couples, gay and not, are making out on every corner.
As he stares at the crowd on the dance floor, he remembers the first and only-so far-night that he had danced with Kyuhyun. The way the man held his hips and the way he moved along with him are still clear in his mind. He had promised himself not to dance anymore, so he had no idea what compelled him to do it with Kyuhyun, back then.
Now that he thinks of it, it must be because of attraction. No matter how much he denied it, he knew he was already drawn to the younger man from the very first time his eyes met Kyuhyun’s gray ones. That explains why even if he just met the other in less than a year, he agreed to do such things to Kyuhyun, things he had never thought of doing.
For now, he will just enjoy the night and forget everything temporarily.
“Sungmin-ssi?”
He sees Siwon standing in front of him, looking dashing in just a white shirt, its neckline showing the defined tanned chest of the taller. The look is totally different from his usual formal wear, and this one made him look younger. No wonder why girls behind him were whispering and giggling.
“Hey, happy birthday, Siwon-ssi.” He says giddily while handing the other his gift.
Siwon’s smile grows wider, showcasing, yet again, his dimples. The taller accepts the gift before pulling him to a room where their officemates are having fun, drinking and singing along the person at the karaoke.
“Look who’s here!” Siwon shouts as he drapes an arm on Sungmin’s shoulder. He flinches a bit, but then gets used to it for his boss really is fond of skinship. His officemates cheer loudly, with one guy named Jungmo pulling him to sit on the fancy couch and offering him drinks, which he accepts shyly.
They sing, drink and laugh hard the whole night. All of them were constantly shouting happy birthday to Siwon from time to time, and then continue what they were doing.
Jungmo then proposes to play Truth or Dare. It is a game Sungmin totally loathes because he always gets pointed at and all of his answers looked like a lie to the other players. Before, his friends would ask him to do outrageous things such as dancing on Donghae’s lap that made them have a boner the entire night. They fixed those themselves on their own, though. He will never, ever, go to bed with his best friend.
However now in this game, if the other players will not agree with his answer, he just has to drink five shots of tequila.
Unfortunately, as expected, the bottle points at him. And one thing that makes him unluckier is that Siwon was the one picked to ask him a question since he chose Truth.
“So, Sungmin-ssi,” Siwon starts. “Are you a virgin?”
That question takes him off-guard. Sure, he had been asked countless of times before, but he was confident that he’ll answer a yes because Kyuhyun hadn’t come yet in his life. Now that he should be answering a ‘no’, is he going to lie?
Then again, they are having fun here. Most of the guys are already drunk so he’s sure they’ll forget it tomorrow.
Grinning widely, he replies, “No.” It earns him loud applauses and whistles from his officemates, and he is sure he just saw Siwon smirk. He just shrugs it off, thinking that his boss was just amused by his honest answer.
And so the game continues.
He drank, and drank, and drank, until his fifteenth shot glass. He is already dizzy, but his companions are still asking him to drink more since he didn’t even reach the twentieth yet. He just cannot tell them that his alcohol tolerance is very low that even just the first five shots already affected him a lot.
Thankfully for him, someone pulls him up, away from their drunken workmates. He finds himself pushing his way to the crowd with the person who is holding his wrist. As they halt at a spot on the dance floor, the DJ plays a more upbeat music, causing for his natural dancing skills to waken up so suddenly.
Even though his vision starts to get hazy and he feels like the world is spinning, he continues dancing with the tall man in front of him, whose face looks blurred to him.
The two of them are squished by the people surrounding them, but it didn’t stop him. He jumps, yells in happiness, and dances like it’s the end of the world - as they say.
He feels a pair of hand on his waist, and his arms automatically wrap on the taller man’s neck, moving his body along with his partner. Heat courses through his body as he listens to the other guy’s erotic whispers to him, with the guy’s fingertips stroking the skin on his back, and a hard on was pressed on his hip.
A soft moan escapes his lips as a wet muscle touches his exposed neck, drawing abstract circles on it. He had always liked the feeling of someone licking his neck, and the way the other man does it turns his knees weak.
He stumbles backwards at a sudden pull of him, his back hitting someone. The arms that wrapped on his waist are very familiar to him that even if he is in his most drunken state, he will still recognize it. The new person was shouting at him, but he could not make up the words due to the noise at the background.
He giggles. “Hae, I can’t hear youuuu~”
He hears a loud groan from his best friend, and finally, he could hear what the guy was saying. “What the hell were you doing there with your boss, Ming?! What if Kyuhyun-ssi was the one who saw you?!”
He frowns when he heard that name. “Who is Kyuhyun?” He knows that name… but he just can’t remember how and where he met the man.
“How is he?” A husky voice was heard next, and from its sound, one can tell that he is panting very hard.
“He’s crazy.” Donghae answers.
“I am nooooooot~!!!” he protests with a very adorable pout; however, he seems to be ignored, yet again, for the other two are talking about him in a serious and polite manner.
Then, he feels him being shifted, with another pair of arms embracing him. The warmth of the person was really known, and he can’t help but snuggle on the man’s chest. That is the only time he remembered who the guy is.
“Ohai, Kyu~ how’s your date with Zhou Mi?” he lazily says, followed by a giggle from him.
“Zhou… Mi?” he hears Donghae ask.
He squints at Donghae for he cannot clearly see his worried face. “Yes! Zhou Mi! You don’t know him, Hae? He-” Kyuhyun covers his mouth and cuts him off. “I’ll bring him home.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I am.”
He squeals rather unmanly when Kyuhyun lifts him up on his arms, burying his face on the younger man’s neck and hugs it.
“Aigoo, you really smell so good~ what’s your perfume?”
“Shut up, Sungmin.”
“But whhhhyyyyy~ I want to know what your perfume is~ did Zhou Mi buy that for you?”
The next thing he knew, he was thrown inside the car, causing for his head to ache at the impact. He feels the hair on his entire body stand up when Kyuhyun whispers on his ear.
“You made me angry.”
He manages to pull out a smirk before everything turns black.
