Well...I think I was too joyous too soon. Apparently, James is having a growth spurt or SOMETHING because the last 48 hrs he's had periods where he only goes 2 or so hours between feedings and he's been way super fussy. Brandon said yesterday if he put him down even for a second to pee or soemthng, James would start crying. Crap ( Read more... )

w00t! James is now going 3 1/2-4 hrs between feedings instead of 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. I call that progress. :)

Been doing some more Babywise study on Beebs' spitting issue. Rather than hand squeezing I'm trying the method they outlined for this habit specifically. I'm putting my finger to his lips in the "sshh" position and saying "no spitting." Upon further reading I realized that I need to be consistent with this behavior even out of the high chair. The Beebs is 7 months old now so we are exploring the 2nd Babywise book together. I must say, everything about my child is perfect so far except for his eating habits. He just thinks it's hilarious to spit out every bite of food. We spit, we laugh, and we play in it. Of course, I am now to the point where I want to stop this behavior before it ( Read more... )
