Ok..so I admit this morning while James was having his 'awake' time, I didn't hold him, cuddle him or rock him. I stuck him in his swing, turned on the mobile and music and let him rock and back and forth while I cleaned the kitchen. I guess a lot has changed since I was growing up. If a cookie fell on the carpet and wasn't too fuzzy when we picked it back up, we ate it. We didn't see antibacterial soap outside of the hospital. We got cuts and scrapes and washed them off with warm water,soap and sometimes hydrogen peroxide. People had allergies, but they seemed to be allergic ( Read more... )

Up until yesterday, we'd been using the free sample cans of formula sent to us by Similac. There were two cans of regular formula and two of soy-based formula. My SIL gave us the Babywise books when she found out we were preggos last Sept and we've been 'on the system' for the last three weeks (since we brought James home) and it seems to be working...so far. *keeps her fingers crossed*

It's been a rough couple of nights because my 6 month old has, for some reason, started to wake up in the middle of the night. He was really sick for about a week and throwing up everything he ate, so I started to feed him in the middle of the night just to get some nutrients in him.
