Fannish biography, the life-cycles of fandom, or where I have been (lately and not so lately)
I haven't written a post on LJ in months. Thing is, I just didn't have anything fannish to say. For years my fannish identity has been "fic writer" with a liberal dose of "fannish butterfly". Kipling
So everyone has probably noticed that my fan-identity bears some relation to Kipling - I picked my nick when I was about 16 or 17, and back then named myself after one of my cats, who is named, in turn, after Bagheera from the Jungle Books. Linguistics/cognitive science reading
Most of the reading I have to do for my exams is fairly boring in that it's stuff I already know about or have read before but need to revise (like gender linguistics, or Gothic literature) but some of it is also new and interesting.
