I have somehow become a community organizer in the fight against the low-down, dirty skunks in our neighborhood.  It is a cause, that in these perilous times when the entire nation is more politically fractured than ever, entire neighborhoods will join hands and cross streets, to unite in a common cause.

For some mysterious reason, I can see my friends page again.   It was blocked from work, which was part of the reason why I stopped posting as much.  The other reason was that my life has kind of sucked, and I got tired of posting whines, even if that is what livejournal is for.

My doctor called. As of a week and a half ago I had enterococcus and E. Coli in my urine. Now I didn't particularly *feel* like I had a UTI at that time, nor have I felt like I had a UTI at any time since. However given my recent history he wants to treat it with Nitrofurantoin and treat it for double the normal length of treatment. I hope it works ( Read more... )

Back at work today.   Lots of political crap happening, but I have a lawsuit if they actually penalize me.  My side hurts and I have a not bending or lifting restriction for the next month (which is fine with me, I can't lift a laundry basket right now)

They admitted me yesterday via the ER.   My doctor still doesn't know what is wrong with me.   I needed to see a urologist and a gastroenterologist, and the easiest way to do that is by being in the hospital, otherwise you are stuck on waiting lists for months.  So I'm here.  I got a kidney dye scan today, and tomorrow I'm getting a colonoscopy ( Read more... )

They know I'm not dying.   But the doctors seem more concerned about my abdominal pain than I was initially.   They've CT scanned me with a barium liquid for contrast and say my appendix is fine.  Also no ruptured ovarian cysts.   I still have microscopic blood in my urine.  The CT scan would have showed large kidney stones but apparently it is ( Read more... )

I ended up in the hospital Sunday night/ Monday morning with what we thought was food poisoning.   Apparently my symptoms were very atypical.   My doc is now making noises about appendicitis.  Right now I'm home.  I've been forbidden to go into work and he's reviewing all of the labs from the ER.   I see him again at 3pm.
