Tale of Apping: I'd been lurking in CFUD for a month and I really wanted to app someone. While getting ready for the September resits, I became intrigued with Shigure/L and read Fruits Basket. Hatsuharu wasn't my favorite character (my favorites were Yuki, Akito, Rin and Kureno), but I knew I could write a funny app for him. And the rest is history.

Tale of Apping: tekla stayed with me for Easter Break and we went on an anime binge. I'd been wanting to see GANTZ for a while because death_2_parrots was awesome, so we raided Youtube. I fell in love with Kurono from his very first scene, but I was terrified of apping. Two months passed in which I didn't have the cojones to app Kurono, and then Nishi organized the KH AU. After a little fumbling and Should-I's I picked him up and Juri PMed me one day like "You're so good with Kurono, you should app him." And so I shook out my fear and apped. I will always wonder how I'd have done if a large part of the voters hadn't known it was me, but I also know Kurono will have to be pried from my cold, dead hands. :p

Tale of Apping: Back in July/August, I was spoiled for Sakuraba's hair in volume 10, so I read that part first and really liked Takami. I wanted to app him, but there were other characters I was interested in more (all of them have been successfully apped now too, lol) and I got stuck in the match against the Nasa Aliens, not to mention I was moving to a different country and stuff. I kinda forgot about Takami, and then Sakuraba played the winning lone wolf in a CFUW game I shepherded. I remembered how much I liked the character (Sakuraba was initially my favorite ES21 character), went back, finished the manga and apped as soon as I had time.
Select Option 3? I'm most fond of the Pimpuraba fallout, but I also kinda love the simple "I'd like to meet more people." post with 800+ comments. Go go Australian/European/early morning crew.

Tale of Apping: I asked dilettantka if anyone had shown interest in apping Tohru, and she said yes, so I was bummed out for a few days. Then when I was getting back to Utrecht from Germany, Megan took me to a bookstore and I saw the complete manga. I bought the first three books, even though they were in German, a language I don't speak and very barely read. I knew right then and there I was apping Tohru. Except. . . no ideas came. D: I was flying back to Spain where I'd be sans internet and I had no app. I wrote a first draft in the dorms, a longer one in the Amsterdam airport AND in the plane, sent it to Rey on Friday from a bus station and worked on it in my apartment as my cats piled on top of me. Then I went back to my parents's, cut some stuff and begged my father to let me use his computer and send it. I was SURE I wasn't gonna make it in, since I had practically no time to get it betaed (and my adoration goes to Nishi, Rey and my hetero lifemate tekla for their help).

XD really_doing_it from the (paraphrased) canon quote, "All the blokes in class, always telling tall stories about how much they shag, it's all a lie! I'm doing it! I'm really doing it!" And then he got on a bus to meet his 29-year old deflowerer. Go, Nathan.
Reason For Apping: I always have a lot of reasons to app characters. Basically, Nathan was fun and chatty, totally normal and a drama queen, while Haru was none of those things. He's also my favorite character in Queer as Folk and always has been. I figured he'd get along really well with Cher, although Cher never gave any indication in voting posts that she felt the same way. XD
Reason For Not-Reapping: Simon's crit in the reapp scared me off apping for months, period. XD I've toyed with reapping him in the past; but now that I have Kurono, Takami and Tohru, playing Nathan would be pretty redundant. (Though looking at his apps I'm kinda getting that "omg Nathan" again, and I can kinda see where I went wrong. D: nottemptedno)
