Lee Pace is playing Thranduil in The Hobbit!!! I love Lee Pace because of The Fall. This should be pretty excellent. Even if he is playing a stupid elf. There's going to be a production of Hamlet at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Kate Mulgrew as Gertrude and Alec Baldwin as Claudius. But, if that wasn't bizarre enough, here is where it gets weird. A show reaction and an idea that won't go away.
Watched the premiere of Game of Thrones with my house last night. It felt like it could have done with a bit more awkward, but helpful, exposition. But then I suppose I was confused when I started the books too, and I'm three seasons into The Wire and still sometimes forget who characters are, so maybe it's me, or how television works these days.
