You no longer have to be shackled to Symantec or McAfee, there is now an alternative! One of the last bastions of necessary paid for software has for a long time been Anti-Virus software. Since this country refuses to eliminate its dependence on oil (an inefficient, dirty and limited resource) we have to try and live in the meantime. University criticized for overspending on expensive M$ products. I do recall making this argument a few years ago. But instead of Institutes of Higher Learning looking to open source they continually fund M$. Next time you get a bill for your student loans remember that a lot of that went to micro$oft. Suddenly I feel ill.
