I'm doing some practice free-response for the AP Calculus BC exam, and I desperately need help! There are four problems behind the cut, and they involve absolute minima/rates, infinite series, motion and relation of graphs and their derivatives.

How to solve for "M" in error bound calculations?
Just need help on solving for M and then i'm Ok (i think)

heres the prob:
f(x) = Ln(x), b=1, and i need to use tang line error bound to find interval so that error is at most .01 on J.

help! my teacher didnt explain arithmetic sequences very well, so im a bit confused.

how would you figure out something like

a=5, d= -3 : find the nth term, when the initial term and difference are given.

how do you just figure something like that out?

f(t)=e-t2. Find a taylor series for f(t) about x=0. Assuming it can be done term by term, find an expansion for Laplace{f}(s). If possible, sum the series. My series in the s-domain is 0!/(0!s)-2!/(1!s3)+4!/(2!s5)-6!/(3!s7I tried integrating and differentiating term by term to find a sum for it, but no luck. Has anyone taken a course called: Advance Functions and Introductory Calculus ?

Is a grade 12 course, that I'm taking as correspondence.

It's tough teaching myself.

Hey I'm an undergad and I'm going to take Calculus I this summer. What sort of resources/materials would you recommend I have to do well in the course? (I'm asking this because I really am not fond of the text book we're going to use). Would anyone recommmend getting one of those "Calc for Dummies" or "Calc Demystified" books?
