I am currently tripping out over this site. my dad has an intel imac and he called me from the apple store thursday because the hard drive had died and he was wondering what his options were. the genius posse had quoted him $400 to ship it back and replace the old (250 GB) drive*, and they would absolutely not allow him to keep the old drive, on the off chance he wanted to take it to a data ( Read more... ) -
Burning Man Pictures
Back from the desert, and a week with Moonrock and Chickenhed. photos are here.
lots to say about the whole thing, which I might do later on. it was a weird and pleasant week. noted that no one really ever says "oh, burning man was ok." people either love it or hate it. or both, but it always leaves a strong impression. -

oh by the way
for the non-locals, seattle is in the middle of a full-on heat wave. like heat and stagnant air warnings from the weather service. its hot enough to drain most of your motivation, and near any amount of exertion, like walking five blocks to your friends house at an easy pace is likely to leave you dripping in sweat. almost everyone I know. there ( Read more... )
