I just reread the David Eddings Ellenium series. I had to skip some of the scenes in the third book (The Sapphire Rose) because the author would rather not have written them, but they were necessary for plot points, but he showed his resentment through the painfully flowery descriptions and wooden dialogue ( Read more... )

The new roof is almost up. Which is good, because since we took the old roof off, we have had more rain than I am comfortable with. Although Kiki assures me that all is well, and that tarpaper sheds water adequately, I am not entirely convinced.
