This is a manuscript page featuring Moses receiving the Ten Commandments within the frame of a capital D. The original was drawn in about 1464 in Czechoslovakia. The medium is graphite on paper (which surprised me, I was expecting it to be parchment... a happy accident, as I'm pretty sure I can't get parchment). This book ("The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" by Sherman Alexie) amuses me so much.

It made me laugh, in a sort of oh-god-we-really-haven't-seen-the-last-of-her kind of way. I don't know how anyone can think Sarah Palin is a good idea for anything to do with any public office ( Read more... )
