Katrina, Rita . . . what next?
Well, I've once again survived the wrath of Mother Nature. We actually faired pretty well in Houston. High winds, rains, and loss of power, but fortunately the power was back on after about 24 hours (instead of the days predicted).

So, I evacuate and relocate to...Houston...where the next hurricane is projected to hit.
I'm in the process of preparing for Hurricane Rita. Anyone have a location they would like me to evacuate to? I can almost bet another storm will follow!
Sigh.
Hopefully this time I won't lose electricity or water or cable or...the house. -
I'm back...sort of!

I've just arrived in Houston (temporary relocation of course, I will be returning home when the house is rebuilt) and finally, finally, finally have access to the internet. Another Revolting Development
So, I returned home from yet another business trip (Denver this time) and found that the dreaded Hurricane Katrina is projected to hit New Orleans...directly. This is always a disturbing thought. A hurricane is bad enough, but New Orleans is below sea level. Water is more concerning to us than the wind force ( Read more... ) -

Singapore in July!
My work life has been crazy busy - the end of a project always is and I’ve just completed one. Or at least this phase of it.
