The Wedding Dinner
David and I agreed that he'd choose the restaurant for us, Katie, and Megan to go to afterwards, and it would be a surprise to me. Shortly after the ceremony, I found out he'd arranged for us to have dinner at Cafe Juanita
Cafe Juanita's a gorgeous Italian restaurant in Kirkland. We'd been once before, for a birthday, and really enjoyed it.

We got hitched!
David and I got married today in a small ceremony at a Bellevue courthouse.

First in a series: Odd music in Asian restaurants
David and I have noticed that many Asian restaurants have some really odd music playing in the background. From the Thai place that played the same Poison album over and over, to the Korean barbecue with a flute version of "Maria" from West Side story on continuous loop, to the hip Korean bar/restaurant playing very loud, very angry rap. Chocolatey goodness in the Seattle Area
I'll start with the most exciting discovery for me. Several years ago I had a dessert at Nishino (one of my favorite Japanese restaurants) that included an amazing chocolate/chocolate chip cookie with orange flavor. A few weeks ago I read this review of a Mexican place called El Quetzal. It sounded just up my alley--not the same burrito/enchilada/fajita kind of menu. (There's nothing wrong with burritos, enchilada, and fajitas, but there are plenty of other places that serve them.) Lark! (Or the "I'm Alive" Entry)
These past couple months have been incredibly busy, work-wise. There was a stretch where I worked 25 days in a row, and I worked a lot of 10-12 hour days. Not conducive to much good eating. But we're in another lull right now.
