My favorite month is letting me down by starting off dark and dreary. Now, I generally I enjoy a grey day here and there, it gives me an excuse to sit around the house and be lazy (not that I don't do that on sunny days, it's just on rainy days I don't feel guilty). Why do I hate using fabric with an obvious direction? Because I will cut it out wrong everytime. A yard and half of flannel, destined to be cozy pajamas for my shop, ruined. I finished these aprons last night. They are from the pattern you see at the top of the picture, which I found at the thrift shop a few years ago. It's pretty tattered, I should transfer the pieces onto something more sturdy before they disintigrate completely.

1. My complete inability to take a good picture. I have five garments completed to put up on Etsy and I just cannot get a good picture, even though I've spent much of the day trying. I think part of the problem is an old Victorian house, in the city with houses on either side and a backyard full of trees, just is not conducive to adequate natural ( Read more... )

I felt very virtuous as I thoroughly vacuumed the house today--well, thoroughly for me. I read somewhere--flylady maybe? about how you don't always have to vacuum really well, you can just vacuum without moving the furniture--that for me is vacuuming. It's been over a month since I've posted. I've been posting a lot more at my blog, in the hopes of attracting more traffic to my Etsy shop.
