Well, I heard some fireworks after I put down the books and went to bed on 31st December and apparently this means we have a new year. Mine didn't really start until the 17th when my exams finished, and to be honest I've mainly been catching up since then. I just had an absolutely lovely long-weekend away in Seville. It was 25 degrees during the day, cardigan weather in the evening, and there were 11 of us traipsing round the city. Total nightmare
We just found out that the landlord wants to throw us out in March to do some damp-proofing on the flat. In theory this isn't too bad as I wanted to look to buy (wherever on Earth I can afford in this city) next Spring and he has given us lots of notice. Just when I literally losing all hope and for the first time considering stopping watching in spite of my love and obsession, weakness for eye candy and helplessness in the face of cuetness it goes and mildly redeems itself.

Back to school
So, I am starting to remember how easily distractable I am... And how studying while watching Buffy doesn't really count as studying... And how looking for knitting patterns definitely doesn't count as studying... In fact, studying in front of Buffy just takes longer and leaves less time for knitting. I'm going to the library! Life = good
So, how awesome is this. From now until Christmas I'm taking a course for work: morning lectures, two afternoons a week in the office, three afternoons a week doing the reading (of course). This first week is "full-time" lectures so we don't have to go into work, but yesterday the lectures only ended up lasting from 10 til 3 so I was home by 3.30 ( Read more... ) -

Merlin BFI screening
The Merlin screening at the BFI was awesome. I didn't know what to expect, but the enthusiasm of all the fans was just fabulous. It was a hilarious few hours and I am still a bit high from being in the same room as Katie McGrath and Tony Head!
