Last night I worked an overnight until 7am, taking the train home to arrive at about 9am, to sleep less than 3 hours (through construction work outside), to then go to a job interview. The birth rate is very low in Australia, and to encourage breeding the government gives out a once off payment of $3000 when you have a baby. This will rise to $4000 in July 2006, and $5000 in July 2008. I got my visa on Tuesday, a lot earlier than I had expected.
