Anyone have a salon they'd recommend for a pedicure?  i'm going to be in a wedding in 3 weeks and my feet are in desperate need of some TLC.

I was just doing a DNA prep and I spilled it all over my bench paper.  The paper is lined with plastic  and I just replaced it this morning... desperate times call for desperate measures so I squeezed the paper out into the filter.  *sigh*
I told the first year student in my lab "don't ever do what I just did"

I see Kat Von D has a new makeup line for sephora.  The packaging is pretty neat.  But the thing that disturbs me is "now!  with any purchase!  Free Kat Von D temporary tattoos!"  So we all can have stars tattooed on our foreheads.

Can I wear jeans to jury duty? It says I have to dress "with decorum"

I was supposed to get my economic stimulus by 5/2 and it hasn't been deposited.  What should I do?  Is there a place to call?  I'm supposed to be in the 1st group so now I'm worried that for some reason I just "don't get one" or something.

That tomorrow is friday already?  I feel like the weeks zoom by lately and I get very little accomplished (in the lab, that is)
The good news is I had to submit my dissertation progress report this week.  I said I planned on submitting my dissertation for the march deadline of 2009 and my boss said "he agreed with that"  so yay.  I guess this means ( Read more... )

stupid question to pose to lj land on this monday morning:  How long should one keep clothes that do not fit?  Ie. fat pants.  4-5 years ago, I was about 25 lbs heavier.  And about a size or size or two bigger.  I have 4 pairs of jeans that I just never wear anymore that I'm just toting around (and various old work pants are in the same boat).  I' ( Read more... )

you go out at night, have 3 drinks, have a nice buzz, but not too much, it wears off by the end of the night, you go home completely sober, sleep for 6 hours, and you wake up ridiculously hungover.  Granted I do have a bit of a cold so I was waking myself up this morning having to blow my nose, but still.

ugh.
