It is my personal opinion that the best activity for 90+ weather is splashing around in a river. Preferably a somewhat shallow, clean river.

The downside to this is that I *never* sleep well when camping, and I may have exerted myself a little too much.

It was worth it, though.

Finals are done.

I have an excellent home-brewed stout to drink (not mine, a kind friend's).

Most importantly, I landed a job as a part-time microbiologist/lab analyst for an agricultural and environmental testing lab in Salinas.

This was a good week.

So, I finally get to go snowboarding again and I get a cold. Seriously. The snow looks beautiful and I can't move without leaving a slime trail and wanting to puke. Bah.

Gah. I hate writing essays. I *really* hate writing essays for a non-major class. I especially hate it when I've got the topic, the thesis and the argument and I just can't put pen to paper (metaphorically speaking).

Of course, this essay is due tomorrow. Of course I have class all morning and can't put it off further.

Gah.

Well, after multiple years of lurking, two shots of ouzo, and three shots of gin, I have registered for Fark. I'm kinda afraid. I'm very drunk.

On a whim, exzebachay and I poured a shot of cognac into our New Year's Eve champagne...

Oh, lord. The hangover.
