Title: Moments
Pairing: Tegomasu
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance, Fluff, slight Angst
Disclaimer: I don't own the boys or anyone else in this story. Only the plot is mine.
Summary: It's basically quite simple: Masuda falls in love with Tegoshi and even though Tegoshi is in love with him, too, there are some problems and obstacles they'll have to overcome. It starts in November of 2006, shortly before their trip to Sweden.
A/N: It's getting even more fluffy with this. Urgh, I'm no good. Nothing graphic here. Much more talk than action in this, but, well...
I hope you have fun reading ♥

“Massu, where are you?”
Munching on a piece of cake, Masuda nuzzled into the warmth of his couch, feeling completely relaxed. He had the day off and had decided to spend it watching TV, eating his favourite foods and get some decent naps throughout the day.
Tegoshi’s call didn’t fit into his plan.
“Home”, he answered.
“Which one?”
“My apartment, Tegoshi.” Masuda switched through the programmes, decided on an Anime then. “If you’re not about to die, in any other danger or molested by a paedophile old guy, I have to tell you that I need to hang up now, because I’m doing something important.”
“What could be more important than me?”, Tegoshi asked.
Masuda frowned. “Right now it’s Doraemon. And this package of Vanilla chocolate sticks.”
“Massu!”
“See, I’m busy.” Masuda curled up under the blanket and smiled. “Not that I wouldn’t exchange it for having you in my arms, but I’m pretty much satisfied right now, too.”
Tegoshi’s voice was purring when he said: “What luck that I can make your day just even better then. I sensed you were in your apartment, so I took that line. I’ll be there in about ten minutes.”
Masuda choked on his vanilla chocolate stick and coughed. “No, wait, you…”
“It’s okay, you don’t need to get dressed”, Tegoshi chirped and hung up.
Sighing Masuda titled his head back and closed his eyes. That boy was just unbelievable. Masuda didn’t want any visitors today. He didn’t like being seen like this, especially not by his lover.
Or close-to-be-his-lover.
Actually, they hadn’t upgraded from that stage of secretly holding hands, lightly touching and exchanging kisses yet. But Masuda was okay with that. He didn’t want to rush; it would all process in a natural pace, for sure.
They had time.
He quickly got up from his couch and first opened the curtains, then a window, before he made his way to the bathroom to wash his face and then get dressed properly. He didn’t think Tegoshi would like the pink pyjama pants and the wide blue shirt with ice cream stains on.
He had just put on a clean shirt when it rang at his door and he made his way over to open up. Before he could even greet the younger one, Tegoshi had stepped in and pressed his lips to Masuda’s. The dark brunette noticed a slight desperation in that kiss and frowned, but returned it.
“Hm, vanilla chocolate”, Tegoshi said and walked into the apartment, leaving it to Masuda to close the door.
Masuda followed him then and rubbed the back of his head. “It’s a bit messy.”
Tegoshi looked at the blanket at the couch, the package of chocolate; other than that everything was at its place. “You should come to my room more often, really. This is not messy.”
Masuda smiled. “For my room, it is. If yours ever looked like this, I would surely start to worry about you.”
Tegoshi turned to him and smiled. “You’re dressed after all”, he noticed then.
“I figured it would be better.”
“I would really not have minded it.”
“Is there something you need to talk about, Yuya?”, Masuda ignored Tegoshi’s jokes and looked at him with concern.
Sighing, the younger one sat down. “You know me quite well.”
Masuda came over and sat beside him. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s really wrong.” Tegoshi smiled and leaned in, nudging Masuda’s shoulder with his. “I just got used to see you every day.”
The older boy smiled. “I’ve noticed; you spent nearly every evening here lately.” Then he nudged Tegoshi back. “So, you won’t be able to come over anymore?”
“I’m going on a trip in two days.”
“Eh? But we’re not off?” Masuda blinked. “You can’t just take off some days.”
“I’m not”, Tegoshi laughed. “It’s for work, ItteQ; I’ll be going to some place for a project. We’ve been planning this for a little longer, but I always missed to tell you.”
Impressed, Masuda smiled at him. “But that’s good, isn’t it? Is it a nice place? Okinawa? Though, it’s not really hot yet…”
Tegoshi looked at him. “I forgot what it was called again; Guyana or something.”
Masuda looked confused. “Where’s that?”
“Somewhere in South America?”
Now, Masuda just stared at him. “That far?”
With a nod, Tegoshi looked at the TV. “I thought, I’d better come to see you today, because we’ll have preparations tomorrow and I don’t know if I can come see you then.”
“Is that trip dangerous?”
The younger male laughed a bit. “They wouldn’t let me go then.”
“What will you do there?”, Masuda asked curiously.
“I’m supposed to find the most soothing place in the world. There’s a huge waterfall somewhere in that jungle. I’m not too happy about it.”
“Jungle”, Masuda repeated and shivered. “Bugs.”
Tegoshi nodded. “Right.”
“You don’t have to go, if you don’t want to.”
“Much worse is that I’ll go that far without…” He stopped and bit his lip. “Well, I’ve only travelled as far as this once and then, Massu was with me.”
A gentle smile spread over Masuda’s face and he reached his hand out for Tegoshi’s. “You can call me.”
“I don’t think so. They told me, I will have to sleep in a tent and we’re pretty much cut from civilisation for the most time of the trip.”
Masuda seemed horrified. “Sleeping in a tent? Out there? There are bugs.”
“I knew you’d react like that”; Tegoshi laughed and leaned against him. “Most concerned about the bugs.”
“You really should be more afraid of them.”
“I am, but I don’t really have another choice than to accept it, do I?”
“Not really.” Masuda frowned. “You’re sure that trip is not dangerous?”
Tegoshi smiled at him, before he placed a kiss to Masuda’s neck. “We’ll have the whole team of staff and cameramen and well, me, walking there. And we’ll be led by some people who know the place. It should be fine.”
Masuda titled his head back to give Tegoshi more space. “Hm, it still concerns me. Don’t do anything dangerous, okay?”
“I won’t”, Tegoshi said and then leaned back, pulling Masuda with him, until they were lying. “I’ll miss you, Massu.”
The older one kissed him deeply, pulled him close. “I’ll miss you, too.”
Tegoshi leaned in again to kiss Masuda back. He closed his eyes; his hand resting on his boyfriend’s hip, gently making its way beneath the fabric of the shirt. “Let me stay tonight, Massu.”
Masuda pulled back and looked at him for a moment, let Tegoshi gently comb through his hair. “You’re sure?”
Tegoshi smiled and pulled him back down, capturing his lips. “Just in case my grandmother was right.”
The dark-brunette laughed. “Stop that; she was already wrong the last time.”
“I’ll probably get bitten by a dangerous bug and will die.”
“That’s not funny”, Masuda said; in between chuckles, though.
“I want to be sure I’m completely yours before that happens”, Tegoshi answered, his face quite serious now.
“It won’t.” Masuda smiled gently at him and made him get up from the couch. “Let’s go to bed then, Yuya.”
As Tegoshi opened his eyes the next morning, he saw Masuda leaving the room. Shifting closer to the warm spot the other boy had left he curled up beneath his blanket and sighed slightly. With a quick glance at Masuda’s alarm clock he noticed that he had still plenty of time before he’d have to leave, so he closed his eyes again.
Masuda came back into the room, a towel in his hand, drying his hair. Another one was tied around his hips.
He looked at Tegoshi and smiled, before he opened his drawer to get some clothes. It was always exciting for him to choose an outfit for the day, so he took his time.
“Massu, why are you up already?”, he heard Tegoshi’s voice then.
He turned. “I’ll have to be at a photo shooting in about an hour.”
“Can’t you come back to bed then?”, Tegoshi asked, his voice muffled by the pillow. “That’s still plenty of time.”
With a smile, Masuda came over and sat at the edge of the bed, ruffling Tegoshi’s hair slightly. “I won’t make it in time if I get back into bed with you.”
“Do I have to leave, too?”
“You can leave when it’s time for you. Just get some more sleep.”
Tegoshi sat up and looped his arm around Masuda’s neck; using the other one to balance his body. “I’ll call you from the airport.”
“I’ll be waiting for it”, Masuda nodded, then kissed him, before he laid Tegoshi back down to the sheets. “I’ll get ready now.”
“Say Goodbye before you leave.” The younger one nuzzled back into the pillows.
When Masuda came back to do so, Tegoshi was fast asleep again. He set the alarm for the brunette and stroked his hair for a last time, before he silently made his way out of the room and then of the apartment.
It was nearly a month later, when Masuda dashed into their band room.
They had a meeting today. It wasn’t long until Tegomasu would release their new single; so again, it was mainly them using this room. But today was a meeting for all of them, so, except for Yamashita, everyone was there already.
“Oi, Massu, you’re quite early today.” Koyama greeted him.
The younger one just ignored him, however and walked straight over to Tegoshi. “Did you lose your mind?”
Tegoshi stared at him, puzzled. Everyone else in the room went quiet and looked at them.
“What’s wrong, Massu?”
“Of course it’s not dangerous, you said.” Masuda took Tegoshi’s shoulders and slightly shook him. “Even when you came back you said it wasn’t all that dangerous.”
“What?” Tegoshi looked confused, gripping Masuda’s wrists. “What are you talking about?”
“You were going down those damn cliffs. Didn’t you promise to not do anything dangerous?”
“Oh, I saw that, too”, Kato interrupted as if Masuda was not just carrying out their relationship in public. “That was quite cool, Tegoshi-kun.”
“Ah, thanks”, the younger one managed a groggy smile, though he sensed that Masuda didn’t think of that as really cool. He hadn’t thought Masuda would really watch that. But then again, he should have known better. Masuda loved him, after all. “It wasn’t as cool as it looked.”
“Since when are you modest?”, Ryo asked.
“Well..”
Masuda shook him again. “And what did you mean when you’ve said your arm strength was fine? You didn’t even managed to push me down once; so don’t claim such things. You don’t have much strength.”
Tegoshi’s expression changed and he pushed Masuda away, a satisfied look on his face as the other boy stumbled backwards. “That’s only because I never wanted to push you, Massu. Stop that now.”
Masuda almost glared at him, as he found his balance again. He had almost died the day before when he’d been watching the show. Tegoshi had climbed down those cliffs with what seemed like a million meters beneath him. It had looked dangerous and Masuda didn’t like the thought of his boyfriend keeping those actions a secret from him. “You should have at least told me.”
“I don’t know why I should have”, Tegoshi answered, his eyes clearly trying to stop Masuda from outing them.
The older one noticed, but didn’t even think of dropping the topic. He took hold of Tegoshi’s hand and pulled the boy with him. “We’re leaving, Yuya.”
“But, Massu…”
Ryo raised an eyebrow, leaning against his spint. “Yuya? What kind of drama is this?”
Masuda shot him a glare. “Learn to read the atmosphere for just once, Nishikido.” With that he dashed out again, pulling Tegoshi with him.
Koyama gaped. “Did he just snap at you?”
Ryo wasn’t less surprised and looked at the door as Yamashita came in.
“Masuda just told me to get out of the way. And he was literally drilling Tegoshi over the corridor.” Yamashita frowned.
“You missed the best part”, Kato commented and closed his spint. “It was like a lover’s quarrel.”
While that, Masuda found an empty bathroom and shoved Tegoshi inside.
“Massu, really, don’t beat yourself up over it.” Tegoshi tried to calm him; he’d never seen Masuda like this. “You almost made the others notice.”
“And I was worrying because of the bugs!”
“Well, there really were some disgusting ones. But…”
“You decided to take it even more dangerous and go down those cliffs!”, Masuda finished the sentence for him.
“It wasn’t all that dangerous”; Tegoshi said.
“Not? Well, you could have just fallen then; I’m sure nothing would have happened.”
Now, Tegoshi got angry as well. “What is that scene about, Massu? It’s done, isn’t it? I can’t change it anymore.”
“You could have at least told me about it.” Masuda threw his hands up, lowered them again. His look was desperate. “You should just not have done it.”
“Do you think they would have let me go down if it’s been all that dangerous they made it look like?” The younger boy made a step closer. “Don’t be foolish.”
“I nearly died seeing you going down there.”
A smile traced the corner of Tegoshi’s mouth. “My mom said the same when she watched it.”
“I’m not your Mom, Yuya”, Masuda reminded him.
Tegoshi nodded. “Luckily. I wouldn’t kiss my Mom.”
“I surely won’t kiss you again”, the taller one threatened him.
“Eh?” Tegoshi gripped his hand, pulled Masuda close. “Of course, you will.”
Masuda leaned in, let Tegoshi have a quick taste of his lips with only a small peck, then he pulled back again. “No way.”
“I don’t deserve this!”
“That’s what you get when you lie to me”, Masuda just said and turned.
“Massu”, Tegoshi held him back and took his hand again, waiting until Masuda turned back to him. “I’ll go again; next month.”
Masuda just stared at him. “What?”
“It’ll be nearly the same, just without dangerous cliffs”, he tried and smiled sweetly. “Something with Nasca lines. I didn’t get many details yet.”
“Are you serious?”
“You see, I’m honest. I tell you everything.” The younger one leaned in, his eyes big and pleading. “Do I get a kiss now?”
To tease Tegoshi for a little longer, the taller boy just raised a brow and pulled his hand back. “Forget it. Maybe when you’re back from your next trip.”
“That’s not fair, Massu”, Tegoshi whined and followed as Masuda opened the door and in the next moment Koyama stumbled in.
“Ah, you surprised me”, the redhead said. “I didn’t know you were in here.”
Tegoshi and Masuda exchanged a quick glance. Then Tegoshi patted Koyama’s arm. “We didn’t mean to, Keii-chan.”
“Are you two okay again?”
Masuda nodded. “Best friends again”, he commented and left the room.
Koyama frowned at Tegoshi. “Really?”
The younger one smiled. “He was just worried about me; it’s okay.”
“Then you should go and bring your charm to bear; Ryo’s going to kick his ass for what he’s said before.”
Tegoshi pulled a face, then he ran off after Masuda. “Massu, wait!”
Koyama sighed as he looked after them, saw Tegoshi gripping Masuda’s arm. He wondered why he hadn’t noticed before; but what he had heard had been quite definite about Tegomasu’s relationship.
