That is a great list! I have read quite a few of those too, but like you it has been too long, or i was too young when i read them, and could definitely read them again.
I hated Lolita! And Joyce is meh. ;) I'm such a terrible, terrible English Ed major for saying such things!
Ummmmmmm.... this is a fancy list!! :) You might like Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf instead of TTL... and I always liked The Awakening by Kate Chopin.
Brian loves heavy shit, too. I guess it takes all kinds ;). I'm a total lightweight. I'm like wahhh this is too heavy. I like to read young adult fiction, and non-fiction.
I think I got to Lolita too late. It was too creepy. I bet I would have liked it in HS.
this list looks pretty good, maybe a little heavy for the summer though. (i only say this because i am barely working and morty is with noam all day, yet i am still trying to finish a louise erdrich novel after renewing it twice from the public library--that's like, five weeks i've had it!)
i think you should boot joyce and instead read some oscar wilde. i think he's so fun. though joyce's short stories would be good. still, oscar wilde would be a fun summer read.

I think it's funny that everyone is saying my list is heavy, you should see my winter list!
Tibor Machan, H. L. Mencken, Medawar... I actually prefer non-fiction but wanted a fun summer list. I like heavy, epic shit, I guess?
