Last Friday I was feeling a bit down, with my birthday weekend looming empty of Plans, and goblins to fight with about my roots because of the choir thing*.

I got back from work and mostly buried my head in a book to hide from all the things I should have been doing and the thing I wanted to do but felt were impossible.

Once upon a yesterday, Hazel, me, Lydia and my mummy and daddy went out on an adventure, leaving Tim poorly in bed.

For the last couple of months I have been taking the Thursday night slot behind the bar at the community centre I work as a cleaner for. This is not like real bar work - this slot is for the after meet drink for the barbershop choir, who all turn up pretty much all at once to pick up and pay for drinks that they have mostly pre-ordered on a sheet ( Read more... )

It is very strange to go to a party for a workplace that made me redundant 6 months ago.
